President- Bill Naumoski
The President’s primary responsibility is to ensure the Committee carries out its governance role in an efficient manner, and oversees the proper functioning of a properly informed Comittee. Duties include; making sure regular Committee meetings are held in accordance with the requirements as specified in the Constitution; lead the meeting through the agenda and keeping discussions relevant, decision making clear and encouraging broad participation; act as a spokesperson for the Coburg Giants and represent the Giants to outside parties; sign documents, contracts and agreements on behalf of the club; stay in touch with day-to-day happenings through contact with the Executive Committee and General Committee members; seek advice from Committee on issues relevant to their portfolios; attend all scheduled committee meetings or give maximum notice possible if unable to attend.
Vice President-Diyana Dineva-Enchev
The Vice President’s primary role is to assist the President and to take on the roles and responsibilities of the President in his/her absence. Duties include; assist the President when requested; act as a spokesperson for Giants, when requested, and represent Giants to outside parties.
Treasurer - Sally Kerin
The Treasurer is responsible for providing financial transparency and accountability to the Committee, and for ensuring that processing and reporting requirements are met. The Treasurer also provides an assurance of the ongoing financial viability of Giants to the Committee. Duties include; ensuring all finances are managed appropriately; keeping records of all incoming and outgoing payments; sending and maintaining club membership fees; providing regular financial statements to the Committee with a capacity to explain any details; ensuring the annual audit is undertaken in a timely fashion according to legislative requirements; making recommendations to the Committee about income and expenditure, investments and debts.
The secretary’s primary role is to take general responsibility for certain administrative tasks which the Committee is required to carry out. As well as bearing all the general responsibilities of being a member of the Executive Committee, there are several tasks for which the Secretary is responsible. Many of these are practical administrative duties. Duties include; convening meetings; preparing agendas for meetings (in consultation with the President); take accurate minutes of meetings; dealing with correspondence; ensuring back-up information is available at meetings where the topics to be discussed require it.
